Dec. 19, 2007
Hello Sport Fans! Alas, another year almost
wasted away...and what do we have to show for it? Well, hopefully we all have a family to come home to...that dosen't
beat you up when you walk in the door! And, of course...a few new friends to add to the ever growing list.
We've had a few great parties with Hardrive this year...Our "Friends &
Family" party in May went swimmingly...thanks goes out to "A Caustic Lick"...awesome job Big E, Clyndon, Kathy, and friends.
Next was the first annual "Pirates of Spanish Springs" bash in June...a guess
many people couldn't wait for the Halloween party! About 150 die hard partiers braved the warm weather, and no one walked
the plank...unless there was a shot at the end of it!
And what can I say about the Halloween Bash? O.M.G.!!!
Over 300 people, four bands...Thanks to Max Volume and Chuck Ruff for entertaining
us! Renegade was great as always! And our Sound-men...Brian and Dan; well, they got this kick-ass metal band.
They call themselves "Deffen"...and yes, I can still hear myself think, thank you.
Great band...their first non-paying gig. Of course, we played from
10 p.m. - 1:20 a.m.. Just when the cops decided to grace us with their presence!
So, what do we have to look forward to? Plenty, I'd imagine.
We've started working on our originals...and they are gonna kick something.
Don't look now... but 2008 is right around the corner!

Sept. 1, 2007
Happy Labor Day Weekend!
Hello there, Sport fans...Nigel here. And yes, it has been a busy,
hot, crazy summer indeed! Off to see Loverboy Sept. 2 at the Rib Cook off in Sparks...should be a blast!
But first, the bad news...our beloved bassist, Craig...has moved on.
He left the band in June. Craig was one of the first members of Hardrive...way back in Feb. of 2003...he will be sorely
missed.
But never fear...we have filled the bass spot (not an easy thing to do) with
a veteran of the area, who likes to play a 6-string bass...he is Paul Anthony...he will, and is, a fantastic addition to Hardrive.
Yes, we will rock...alot with him.
Always adding to our ever-growing set list, you will hear very soon tunes
such as: some Judas Priest, Loverboy, The Who, .38 Special, Sammy Hagar, Montrose, FireHouse, The Police...and more!
We are nearing the completion of our demo cd...pretty much covers for now...but
still expecting to start on the originals soon. Good luck, and we're all counting on you!
Thanks to all that help make Hardrive the #1 Band performing at Sidelines
NightClub in Sparks! A Special Thanks goes out to Geoff (the beloved master), Dan and Brian...we always have a good
time with these guys. Also, the built-in sound system and lightshow are absolutely awesome! Let's not forget Psycho
Mike, our favorite DJ, who spins the dance tunes the second we tell him to...usually when we're all done rockin' out!
At the next Sidelines gig...We will be giving away shots to some lucky people
who happen to be sitting at the right table...at 9 p.m. on the weekend of Sept. 14-15...so, if I am standing next to your
table at 9 p.m. sharp...then Hardrive will but your first (?) drink for the night! Now, that's not too bad...is it?
Rock on...maybe we'll see you tomorrow night at the Cook off?

April 19, 2007-
O.k.
already, I know I haven't been very dilligent when it comes to news...alot has happened since
2005. The band goes through changes, members seek another path...but the band endures. As I always say..."It's
all about the music." That never changes.
In the last couple years, we have gone from a five piece group, down to 3, and again up to four
(as we had originally started). The Halloween bash of 2005 at
Sidelines was a complete success...it didn't suck. And last year, we were able to complete a 1400 sq. ft. addition onto our home...which
Terri allowed me to decorate any way I see fit!
So, being the adventurous one...I thought of a few words that would help me decide on the decorations...let's see...gothic,
castle, bats, Young Frankenstein, Tuaca. That about sums it up.
The Halloween bash of 2007 was incredible. Two bands, 75-100 well dressed individuals,
and Tuaca. Special thanks goes out to Tom, Tammy, Mandy for at least trying to keep me on my feet! Oh, and a heartfelt
apology to Terri and Scott for my insane behavior!
The pics are all listed on the main page of this site, if you dare.
All in all...The clubs we play have been very good to us (thanks especially to Geoff (Sidelines) and
Paul (Great Basin). The people that we perform for seem to like what we do...but they really don't buy us enough alcohol
while performing (probably a good thing). We just don't "want to play", we want to make sure you know who we're doin'
it for...YOU!!!
On another note...We have had the pleasure the last few months of working on our One Hit Wonder
show, and debuted it at Sidelines Nightclub last month (a two hour cruise)...to an extremely well behaved crowd! It
went over very well...and we had alot of fun doing it. In fact, so much fun that we have decided to do the show through
this year, at least. We'll be adding more to it along the way (I can't wait for Mexican Radio). And we have also
added an extremely gifted performer to our ranks...she helps us out on background harmonies and such...please welcome KATHY
HULL! She has performed in and around town for a few years now...and is an excellent addition to the band. Kathy
will be really be putting out for the band, and singing more, too! No seriously, we plan on featuring her more as time
goes on. Well, July of this year...you will see some pretty darn good lead singing from her! Maybe some Heart,
Pretenders, The Donnas, The Go-Gos, etc..
Next big party at Castle SkyRocker will be May 12...it's a customer appreciation thing...keep
watchin' those emails!
So, keep the faith...and by the way...we have a new logo. The heart symbolizes (to
me) what we have in this group of nere-do-wells...and it's that thing that keeps us going on and on and on!
March 2005- Being
in Hardrive, you never know what's going to happen from day to day. Recently, we've replaced two of our great players...Keith
Lindsey, Dean Richard, and Dave Budish. They have gone off to pursue other projects...they will be missed. But
not to fear! We have just enlisted an outstanding percussionist...John Boes. He has come to us from a little island
called Hawaii...and does he rock! He debuts with Hardrive Mar. 18, at O'Skis. In April, we will add
another guitarist/vocalist...which will make Hardrive a fun little quartet.
But, for the most part...the idea is
to keep as busy as possible...and all will come together in the next few months.
We will be recording a new cd (of our
own songs); and hope to have it released the Summer of 2005.
And, of course...Be Sure To Drink Your Ovaltine...
All gossip, news, and what not...provided by Nigel. And,
yes...it's all true...KLATU...NIKTO...VERADA...just...say
the words...
